Repair
BREKO has a motivated team of committed specialists available day and night, seven days a week, at the location of your choice, to ensure your continuity.
Any time, anywhere
Unexpected repairs can never be ruled out. Whether your ship is in the Netherlands or farther afield, BREKO’s service team is on hand to assist any time, anywhere, even at night and on public holidays. The team can carry out repairs on-board at your premises, or at one of our shipyards.
From minor faults to major damage
If we carry out repairs on-board, we will come to you with one of our mobile service vans, which are equipped with the resources and materials needed for the job.
Our shipyard has all the facilities required. Our specialist team can be engaged immediately to find the right solution for the problem you face. The 160-metre, fully equipped quay is perfect for working on several ships at the same time. Plus, we have two stern docks that offer space for quick propeller, bow thruster, rudder, and other underwater repairs.
As the slipway is 135 metres long, you can also spend your waiting time efficiently and you are welcome to carry out maintenance work on your ship while we are working on the repair.
Thanks to quick docking and undocking, we can also act promptly in the event of an emergency!
Our factory hall accommodates our own turning shop and hydraulics department, plus ironworking, steel construction, and steering gear expertise.
- From minor faults to major damage – we never shy away from a challenge.
- We carry out repairs quickly and professionally. We understand the importance of getting a job done quickly – it’s the only way to ensure continuity.
Perfect location of our shipyards
One of BREKO’s most prized assets is the location of its shipyards in Papendrecht and Hemiksem.
The shipyard in Hemiksem is located on the Scheldt, giving it an outstanding central location that is just a stone’s throw from the port of Antwerp. It is also located at a logistical junction on the inland waterway network – there is a connection to Brussels via the Brussels-Scheldt Maritime Canal, and Ghent can be reached easily via the Western Scheldt. The Ghent-Terneuzen Canal is around eight hours’ sailing time from the Papendrecht shipyard.
Our Papendrecht shipyard is also well located at Ketelhaven, situated on the Beneden-Merwede and close to the convergence of the Oude Maas, Noord, and Beneden-Merwede rivers.
Our 25,000 m2 working area extends for 270 metres along the Scheldt, with space to dry-dock vessels with a length of up to 135 metres.
